Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?
A: “I’m originally from Bulgaria and I came only 9 years ago to America. When I moved here I did not speak English very well but I learned to be good at it in time. I really want to find a profession. I knew that I have a passion for photography as my grandfather was a photographer as well. One day, I spoke to my mom and she suggested photography. A few years later, after attending some photography organizations, joining a lot of classes, volunteered for the photography organizations and being on the board of my local photography association, I am now the owner of Vasi Studio and PetPix Academy. I really believe in giving back and photographing veterans and their doggies and telling their stories. I’m doing a project photographing veterans for a van for Hounds and Heroes and telling their stories of what a difference they have made protecting our country.”
